General
Information :
*
Every
student will need to sign a release form
BEFORE
they will be permitted to ride.
*
Students
are required to wear protective headgear
while mounted.
( A helmet may be borrowed until acquiring
your own,
which is highly recommended, I
can advise where
to purchase one .)
*
Riding
boots or tennis shoes may be worn, no
sandals.
(
with soles that are not fashionably
thick ... and
tread that is not heavy or coarse,
as the rider's foot
must be easily made free of the stirrup
irons.
)
*
Wear
comfortable clothing; suited to the
weather.
(
breeches, sweat pants or jeans are
appropriate;
no shorts ... gloves are necessary in
Winter. )
*
In
addition to riding instruction;
students will learn
basic horsemanship skills, which include
...
leading , grooming and how to tack up a
horse.
*
Try
to arrive at least 15 minutes early to
confirm
which horse you will be assigned to and
to tack up.
(
Always advise your instructor as soon as
you arrive. )
*
Please give at least 2 hours notice for
cancellation
or rescheduling.
( instructors prepare their teaching
schedule well in advance ... we feel
that it is only fair
to advise them of any changes
as soon as possible;
there
will be a charge of 50% of the cost of a
lesson
for failure to contact Erika
RE: changes of plan. )

“I believe that riding should be a
fun and safe experience
for both the horse
